Problem faced- One of our Elite European customer wanted an item within a week. All other companies who they approached refused citing constraint of time.

Solution provided by Crescent- We at crescent took up the challenge, designed the item in Pro Engineering design software and then took a simulation test to identify weak areas. The pattern was then made in CNC machine and item was cast and finished in 4 days. The customer flew down for an inspection on the 6th day, was overwhelmed by the speedy response and gladly approved the quality of the sample. His satisfied eyes gave a further boost to our unflinching commitment towards our clients.

Advantage- Crescent Foundry has incredible, design to delivery in house capability. This assures clients one stop solutions for their urgent needs.

Production Flexibility

Problem faced- One of our overseas customers was unable to get large size castings manufactured locally. The size of the casting was 2 meter x 1 meter. They had automated machines which has a limitation of size up to 1 meter x 1 meter. They had to weld the parts to get the components which were giving other related problems like wrong alignment, breakage from welding, dimensional error beyond tolerance. It was costly to the client also.

Solution Provided by Crescent- Crescent has flexible mould box facility. By which single piece 2 meter x 1 meter castings can be made easily. There were no alignment, dimensional, breakage problems. The solution was cheaper as no welding consumables were needed. The customer was very happy with the solution provided.

Advantage- Crescent has the facility to take up large size castings in house. Currently we are manufacture up to to 2 tons with dimensions up to 2.5 meters.

Partnership

Problem faced- An interesting case-study involved one of our Indian customer, manufacturing heavy earth equipments needed an Casting item ,but despite having their own casting set-up found it difficult & expensive to make themselves. Since it was a new item requiring good surface finish and use of large size cores, many of the local foundries refused to take the task.

Solution provided by Crescent- Seizing an opportunity to innovate and expand, Crescent took up the Challenge and then decided to set up a new facility considering the assurance from the client for long term requirement. An assurance was delivered by the Client to support us for the next three years. A pair of cupolas, a crane bay and painting shop was set up especially for the clients.

Advantage- Crescent can set up any facility as may be required for long term requirement by the clients.

Projects

Problem faced- One of our Indian EPC clients omitted a major item in their project execution. They wanted about more than 100 ladders and access hatches designed, manufactured and installed at their site within a period of three months.

Solution provided by Crescent- Crescent made design and sample which were approved by the client and their designer. Crescent deputed their team at the site to understand site conditions for installation requirements. The items were manufactured in parts in many facilities and dispatched with proper tagging. The items were installed at site as per client requirements.

Advantage- Crescent can provide one stop shop solutions to their clients and can meet any eventuality.

SAP

Problem faced- Some of our customers were having problems related to dispatches, pending orders and delivery periods. Earlier, Crescent was maintaining customer orders, dispatches through ERP, excel, Word, email etc.

Solution provided by Crescent- Crescent has implemented SAP in their manufacturing and accounting to integrate all departments.

Advantage- Clients balance order and manufacturing and dispatched is properly scheduled and delivery has improved considerably.
