VACUUM MOULDING

Vacuum Moulding

Vacuum moulded casting process, also known in the manufacturing industry as the V process, is a casting process that was developed in Japan around 1970.

Crescent Foundry is India's first and largest counterweight foundry.

Grades as per ASTM and EN

What sets vacuum-moulded casting apart from others is the high quality of the surface and the excellent dimensional accuracy. On certain conditions it can be utilized without pattern draft which usually is necessary for conventional casting processes. That means reduction or even elimination of additional weight and subsequent machining in individual cases.

Further Advantages Of Crescent Foundry's Vacuum Moulding Line Are:

Inside Crescent's Factory

There are no or only small burrs in the mould joint.

Process is environmentally-friendly and ergonomically favourable.

Suitable for heavy counterweight with a weight range of 500Kg and above.

In house machining and spray painting facility.

CMM check of all 1st article of PPAP samples with FARO ®

In-house pattern making facilities with CNC based routers and Magmasoft ® simulation for all patterns.

Our V-Process Is Best Suitable For Counterweights

A counterweight is an equivalent counterbalancing weight that balances a load.

A counterweight is often used in traction lifts (elevators), cranes and funfair rides. In these applications, the expected load multiplied by the distance that load will be spaced from the central support (called the "tipping point") must be equal to the counterweight's mass times its distance from the tipping point in order to prevent over-balancing either side. This distance times mass is called the load moment.
