About Our Foundry & Capabilities

Crescent Foundry was founded in 1982 and has over 43 years of experience delivering high-quality ferrous castings to clients in over 57 countries globally.

Our current installed capacity exceeds 1,55,000 metric tons annually, with four high-tech facilities located across West Bengal and Gujarat.

We specialise in gray iron and ductile (SG) iron castings, delivering precision parts for diverse industrial, infrastructure, municipal and agricultural applications.

We can produce castings ranging from a few kilograms up to 15,000 kg single-piece castings, which are ideal for counterweights and large industrial parts.

Yes. We offer complete in-house machining and steel fabrication services to deliver fully finished parts from drawing to dispatch under one roof.

Certifications & Quality Standards

We are certified for ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environment), and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety) across all manufacturing locations.

Yes. Our municipal castings are BSI Kitemark certified and also carry MPA (Germany), ICIM (Italy), and S-Mark (New Zealand) approvals for global acceptance.

Each plant has in-house labs for chemical, mechanical, and dimensional testing. We use spectrometers, UTM, hardness testers, load test rigs, and simulation tools.

Global Presence & Client Support

Yes. We export to over 57 countries, including the USA, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Chile, South Africa, and many more. ~90% of our products are exported.

Our products comply with BS EN 124, ASTM, AASHTO, ISO, Australian and New Zealand standards. We’re BSI Kitemark and ISO-certified for global compliance.

Absolutely. We offer custom designs, product engineering, and casting solutions tailored to local load ratings, dimensions, certifications, and installation requirements.

Through our SAP-integrated system, clients receive regular order status updates, dispatch details and real-time tracking, ensuring full visibility and planning support.

Product Range & Industries Served

We cater to infrastructure, construction, industrial machinery, agriculture, automotive, and utilities through manhole covers, counterweights, flywheels, rings, housings, and more.

Yes. Crescent is India’s largest producer of counterweights, supplying forklifts, elevators, construction equipment, and agricultural machinery segments.

We supply manhole covers, trench gratings, gully grates, valve boxes, frames, and access covers suitable for roads, airports, seaports, and utility networks.

Yes. Our manhole covers, trench grates, and gully gratings are EN 124 compliant, covering load classes from A15 (pedestrian) to F900 (airports and docks).

Absolutely. We manufacture and export F900-rated access covers designed for runways, taxiways, and cargo zones, offering superior load-bearing strength and durability.

Yes. We work with client drawings to produce custom cast and fabricated components, including enclosures, brackets, housings, and high-precision parts.

We offer Green Sand, Vacuum Molding, and Lost Foam casting, enabling high-precision, clean, and consistent results across a wide range of product types.

Sustainability & Responsibility

We recycle 98% foundry sand, reuse iron fines, control emissions, and use eco-friendly moulding methods, certified by ISO 14001 standards.

Iron fines are briquetted and re-melted. Spent sand is reclaimed internally. Toxic residues are not dumped, ensuring minimal environmental contamination.

We are ISO 45001:2018 and Ecovadis certified. Plants have structured safety protocols, regular training, and proactive measures for worker health and hazard control.

Technology & Innovation

Yes. We are India’s only foundry offering in-house product development, CNC machining, FARO inspection, painting and dispatch, all under one integrated platform.

We use advanced tools like FARO for 3D inspection, Magmasoft for casting simulation, and CAD/CAM software for pattern design and tooling development.

We use high-pressure DISA and SINTO lines, vacuum molding (V-process), green sand moulding and lost foam moulding to deliver consistent, clean, and high-tolerance castings.

Yes. We use Magmasoft simulation, PTC Creo, and Delcam software for tooling, design optimization, and fast prototyping with CNC-controlled pattern manufacturing.

Yes. Our SAP ERP ensures integrated planning, order tracking, production visibility, and enhanced customer communication across multiple plants.

Warehousing & Global Delivery

Yes. We operate strategic warehouses in the USA, Germany, and the Middle East to reduce lead times and ensure timely delivery to global customers.

By shipping in bulk to our global warehouses, we ensure better inventory control, lower shipping costs, and faster dispatches to customer sites on demand.

Products ship from Kolkata or Haldia Port (India) to destination ports in the USA, Germany, and Middle East, and then dispatched from our regional warehouses.
